So, I've now been home almost a month. I am theoretically an experienced parental professional, unintimidated by babies, skilled at nursing in public without flashing a boob and overall ready to not sit home all day every day.
Mmm... reality... well, it's about half true. I am an experienced parental professional and I can nurse anywhere without flashing a boob. And you know what? Instead of going places, I find the energy is all going to knocking out long procrastinated household chores and baking. In the last month Reed and I have between us made: Raspberry muffins, Peach pie, Blueberry buckle, Strawberry pie, and Banana bread -- all thanks to an even more out-of-proportion-than-usual Costco run where the fruit was abundant and low priced. It's axiomatic, go to Costco with full wallet, come home with.... whatever they were selling you didn't know you needed.
Anyhow, I feel good again. My energy during the day is up. If Ginger continues to be good tempered and portable, expect to see me around a bit more. Life is very very good.
