I always wonder for whom these big media events have meaning. I wonder when I noticed that media points you in directions it finds useful which is not the same direction as wisdom, closure or truth. I wonder what we all did on the first anniversary of the Kennedy assassination.

I bet it wasn't anything like this.

Today is my neice's 11th birthday. I consider that far more important than yet another memorial service.
