Giving people enough information to know how to do their jobs in computer science is hard. Really hard. And keeping track of whether they're on target is no picnic either. I have not excelled at the former, though I don't utterly suck at the latter.
It's really interesting figuring out when meetings are really necessary and making those meetings as productive as possible, wasting no one's time and just moving through the things that really need to happen. *sigh* I've already learned alot. I just hope to hell I will have learned enough in a timely enough fashion to make this a success.
And yes, I am aware that suddenly I sound like a business wonk all worried about whether or not my meetings are effective. The devil of it is, it actually matters.
