Vocabulary Exansion Project
Reed picked Betsy up to take her into the house last night and thought she might have a poopy diaper. So he says to her. "Got a turd in your shorts, Boo?" To which she responds "Tuuuurd?" Right. She already sings "Poopy, poopy, poopy" when she's poopy. A new word to chant on the way to the changing table is always an advantage.

Shoes? Book!
Betsy is her mothers child, but that's a two way street. She's definitly rubbing off on me, too. As soon as she wakes in the morning, still in her pjs, Betsy wants two things. Shoes and books. The books I probably taught her to love. Afterall, am I ever happy in this life unless I have 3 going? However, the shoes, she came up with on her own. She invariably wants the most colorful shoes she sees. Figuring I could learn something from my daughter, I went shoe shopping this past week, and I have discovered she may know something I don't. A nice pair of Joan and David heels could make me want to get up and put pretty shoes on while still in my PJs. It's possible.

Parent == Barkalounger
Other random things I don't have time to figure out how to cleverly weave into a graceful narrative. Betsy has recently become extremely grouchy if her ass is not planted on one of her parents. Leaning up against us is no good. We are not acceptable pillows. The only proper state is completely ensconced in lap leaning heavily up against the backrest of a parental chest. The princess requires a human throne from which to rule her domain filled with books, shoes and milk for all.

My milk is your milk. No really.
Er. That's "for all" whether you like it or not. She is determined to share her milk and will gently pry your lips apart wanting to put her sippy into your mouth if you refuse the honor of sharing her milk. She's not a rough kid, she just persistently tries to get into your mouth. And if you're reading a story, WELL! You better want milk with that Berenstain Bears book. It's incoming.

This is all I got time for. Snippets of the good things in my life right now. The bad things - er that'd be work - are why I've been quiet lately.
