Yesterday was Betsy's second day of daycare. I anxiously called my mother from work after she picked her up, and apparently the daycare workers wanted to know if she smiles ALL THE TIME or if it just seems that way.
So now, refusing to see anything about daycare going well, I'm wondering.... Is my kid retarded? Other, sensible children scream their heads off when left away from their parent animals. Does my kid lack some Darwinian instinct that says the coyotes are about to eat her? Has my use of the Darvocets I got after the C section addled her wits? What???
(yes, I'm kidding. I'm very relieved.)
