Weekend Recap
I changed the baby pictures link so that it is actually a running tally of all the days in which I have baby pictures posted. Need to redo this altogether so that you can more easily navigate subsections, but I'm still thinking about how I want to maintain stuff on a daily basis and how to make it easier. I know I've been promising a redesign and the return of proper Previous and Next calculations-- it's gotten to be time to deliver. I'd post more pictures if I had written scripts to automagically resize them for this site and whatnot. Anyhow I also added a couple of pics of my little sweetie (as opposed to my big sweetie, Reed).

Let's see, other than demonstrating my offspring's cuteness on these pages, what else did I do with this pristine warm March weekend? Took the baby on a dogwalk. Hung out at Matt and Catherines's. Baked Cath a birthday cake I stupidly took no pictures of. Playmobile figurines make great cake toppers, and creamcheese icing food colors to blue pretty well. We set up a drunken pirate in a rowboat about to be eaten by a shark. Tackeeeee, tacky, tacky. But fun which was the point.

Cooked a bunch. Yes, you ARE sorry you didn't eat the sesame and black pepper crusted sashimi grade tuna I made with mesclun greens, blood oranges, walnuts and home made teriyaki dressing. We'll say nothing of the experimental rasperry tarts made with frozen raspberries (cheaper!) a pie crust and just a dusting of suger. See Karen feeling smug. Filled out as much of my tax organizer as I could without being able to call customer service for a couple of accounts. Thought about, but did not quite manage to go shopping for a bicycle. Watched Reed in bemusement as he pulled down the out house sized shed that came with our house. (Remember, we built a new shed this past summer.) Reed, pounding his chest in testosterone laden glee, played with the sawsall. Happy fellow.

Betsy is about 30 seconds from rolling over. I'm enchanted and moderately taken aback since the moment that happens will spell the end of putting her on the changing table and then turning your back to turn on the light or whatever. Actually -- just the potential of it has pretty much got us being all cautious. I occasionally risk it. The next thing to go, when she's crawling, will be trusting her on our bed. But that's still a few weeks/months off. As long as she's in the middle of the bed, we're good.

Anyhow, I have a few other things on my mind, but they will have to wait for tomorrow. Must get to work. That was the weekend.
