However, I find this deeply disquieting. Our executve branch of federal government is definitly making a monster power grab. Thank god the ACLU is already mounting legal challenges.
I am also reassured that someone has decided Bush can't just declare war because he feels like it.
I wish I had a strong sense of what is the right thing to do as a politically attentive citizen. I suppose a letter to the president might have some worth, but I am not his constituency since I didn't vote for him and would vote for a sheep before I voted for him next time. If forced to choose between Bush and Marion Barry for president, I would be hard pressed to decide which one was a worse thing for our nation. Anyhow, I don't talk about politics unless I can do something. This just bothered me more than usual.
