Horrible sleepless night last night. Had a little to do with Betsy --her schedule is a little disrupted and she woke at strange times-- and a LOT to do with my poor coughing choking Reed who feels fine all day and then coughs up a lung all night. Took the day off work yesterday because of this. Can't really do it again today.

Regardless,there were huge little girl smiles and giggles this morning and a dialogue of happy sighing "Aahhy"s followed by big grins. It's amazing how this nokidding spotlight of a smile laserbeams in on my tiredness and makes it irrelevant.

I wonder if when she's 15 and grumpy all the time if she'll still be quite the sme center of my universe. I suspect so. I also suspect I'll have to go all gruff about it or she'll be able to take terrible advantage.
